Every soldier who attended the training had to experience a burst from the Taser, which operates on 50,000 volts and 26 watts but very low amps, which means there is five seconds of pain but the electrical current is completely safe, according to Eric Niver, U.S. Army Europe Non-Lethal Weapons action officer.

WARD, William Thomas, soldier, born in Amelia county, Virginia, 9 August, 1808; died in Louisville, Kentucky, 12 October, 1878.
His men effected a lodgment in the enemy's fortifications at Resaca, and he was severely wounded in the arm and side, but would not leave the field.
He was also in the battles before the fall of Atlanta, and in the march to the sea commanded a division, performing effective services in the fights that preceded the surrender of General Joseph E. Johnston's army.

There are reports around that his father was Joseph Ward and mother Rebecca Unknown but records only show that he married a Prudence Bird although there are 3 other women connected with Joseph, a Chloe Booth, Sara Thompson and Rebecca Unknown.
My research started in Indiana, went back wards to: Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey I found my fourth great grandfather and he finally recieved a Revolution Headstone in 2001; Government paid for it after I sent proof of my family line from me back wards.
In January, 1776 he enlisted for the term of one year in the company commaded by Captain Josiah Fay in the Regiment commanded by Colonel Jonathan Ward in the line of the State of Massachusetts, and continued to serve until January 1777, when he was discharged from the service at Peekskill, New York.
