  Joshua Hill - KS-Cyclopedia - 1912
Joshua Hill, for several years an active factor in the development of eastern Kansas, and still extensively interested in the state, is now a resident of Pontiac, Mich. The ancestors of Joshua Hill, as far back as the family genealogy can be traced, were Scotch-Irish and French.
Joshua Hill was born in Newton, Sussex county New Jersey, Oct. 18, 1847.
Hill is a graduate of Hamilton College, is a woman of highest culture and refinement, and a prominent society and club leader.

 Joshua Hill (Pitcairn Island leader) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In 1832 he arrived on Pitcairn Island which was first inhabited in the 1790s by British mutineers from the HMS Bounty and some Tahitians who joined them.
Hill, taking advantage of the instability, was able to be elected President of the island.
Hill is fictionally mentioned in a short story called "Revolution in Pitcairn" by Mark Twain.

The men's basketball team and rest of the Yale community mourned the passing of Josh Hill, a rising senior center on the team, after the Delaware native was killed in a car crash on Thurs., May 27 near Estelle Manor Township, NJ.
Hill was sidelined most of the 2002-03 season and all of last year by injuries, but had delayed graduation in order to come back and play one final year.
Hill is survived by his mother Linda, his father Kirt and two brothers, Ryan and Adam.
