Until the Leakeys of the Jossverse end their silence and join the fray, any comprehensive study of past Slayers is largely speculative.
One can imagine that somewhere in the Jossverse there exist cave paintings of vampires embedded with stakes, depicting the "sympathetic magic" used by the Slayer to bring good fortune to her hunt.
With demon cells inhabiting the Jossverse as plenteously as terrorist cells in the Realverse (or troll cells in the Masqverse), Buffy still has her work cut out for her.

double indemnity: wesley/lilah   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-04)
I doubt that anyone has changed as radically within the Jossverse as Wesley has in the past four years.
As dangerously ambiguous as Angel himself, Wesley is neither the cartoon pansy-assed Brit, nor is he the devoted, slightly weepy lover of (insert your Wes pairing here), nor is the rules-bound, ruthless SOB who will sacrifice anything for the "good fight" including his friends.
First of all, keep in mind that a late-third-season/early fourth season Wes is going to hate the fucking world, and himself more than that fucking world.

 Spike & Angel: A Shipper’s Manifesto
Initially brought on to Buffy the Vampire Slayer to be Buffy’s (disposable) antagonist, the actor proved so popular that he was signed as a regular, and instead went on to become Buffy’s love interest.
First, it is hardly a coincidence- because rarely is anything a coincidence in Jossverse- that the actors, much like the characters they play, are polar opposites: Angel is tall, dark, handsome, mysterious, brooding, and prone to great dramatic gestures.
In the Jossverse (and one could argue in reality) it is often through violence.

User talk:Chocolateboy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'll note that, in addition to being used less frequently than Buffyverse, Whedonverse and Jossverse are inaccurate due to there being original works created by Whedon not associated Buffy, e.g.
Despite Firefly's celebrated use of the "'verse" suffix ("no power in the 'verse can stop me"), "Jossverse" (like "Whedonverse") almost always refers to the Buffyverse (as a quick Google will confirm): the Firefly universe, in contrast, is self-contained, and therefore seldom verse-worthy.
I'm a moderator on a BtVS forum, and Jossverse is used occasionally, but Buffyverse is utterly dominant; and typically the reason cited is that Jossverse and Whedonverse have a wider range than just BtVS.

And the original Jossverse characters and concepts are still the intellectual property of Mr.
The interesting thing, to me, about the Jossverse is that it seems confined to California, at least the detail work is.
This series is taking place in NYC, which has a whole history and culture that is a thousand times different from anything on the West Coast.

So it was almost certain that other stars of the "Jossverse" would show up.
This year, the main attractions were Julie Benz of "Buffy" and "Angel," as well as Nathan Fillion, Jewel Staite and Adam Baldwin of Firefly (soon to be a major motion picture, "Serenity," in theatres in April).
Attendees raved about how friendly and approachable the Jossverse stars were to the fans.

That episode had to be the most manic Jossverse product thus far.
Listening to the sloshy and gurgly sound effects while watching that girl saw back and forth packed a real punch even without watching the guy's head tumble off.
*shudders* However… as seems to be an on-going thing in the Jossverse, that girl is never going to have to answer for her crimes.

Angel... the end is HERE, Drink more Red Beer!
Lindsay is such a great character and not immune to the evolution that makes Angel, indeed the entire Jossverse, so unique and wonderful.
Yes, Lindsay (Christian Kane) is in the final episode of Angel, but more importantly, he was in the final season as an important piece of the Puzzle.
Not ever to warrant a Name Change, Whedon and Bell do make this episode all about Angel, and a fitting Angel episode it is! An almost touching Father and Son moment shows Connor (Vincent Kartheiser) to be smarter and better adjusted than ever previously thought.

There are two aspects of the Jossverse that Whedon addresses specifically: the convenience of the magic and his penchant for killing beloved characters.
Continuity is important to the Jossverse, hence Andrew’s “Oscar speech” which mentions his brother Tucker.
Additionally, Whedon included Anya’s bunny phobia as a pay off for the audience.

Fans of both Buffy and Angel often use the terms Jossverse or Buffyverse to describe the rich universe the shows share.
As well as these non-televisual offspring, Buffy has exerted a marked influence on TV and film, with shows such as Smallville and Charmed as well as movies such as The Faculty and Bring It On owing something in their verbal style and (in the first three instances) thematic concerns to the show.
