The fact that Josta can only be described with the same complex verbal imagery more commonly associated with cigars and wine should give you an indication that this is a very unique product.
Josta, or more likely the combination of Guarana and caffeine, have raised my already souped up thought processes to another level.
Give Josta a try, and if you like it buy more, tell your local grocery store or convenience store manager how much you like it, and write or email Pepsi and tell them.

About 7 years ago Pepsi had a soda called "Josta." Their attempt to cash in on the whole "energy drink" think, right along with Sobe, Red Bull, and all the others (most of whom don't exist anymore).
Josta was good stuff, tasting more fruity than cola-esque and kind of a reddish-purplish-fly color.
I dug Josta when it was around, and was sorry to see it vanish.

Josta arrives on the scene just as the federal government is sending boatloads of money to the states for abstinence instruction in the public schools.
Of course, it's likely that this aphrodisiac business is just a bunch of advertising hype and that Josta is no more likely to put you in an amorous mood than if you were to chug a bottle of Pepto-Bismol.

As for the taste Josta tastes like a very fruity mixure of berries and almost some fruit punch it is a very unique flavor.

I was searching to Josta to see if it's on sale in LA yet - I've seen billboards, but I can't find it in stores yet.
The story on the bottles ($1.29 each) is that the berry has been cherished by the Amazon Indians for thousands of years, the guarana is harvasted only on special plantations deep in the jungle, and that folklore has it as a source of cultural and personal vitality, with the power to rejuvinate and strengthen.
As for the Josta Cola, Bottled by Pepsi, it tastes more like the Guarana Cola I had in Paraguay, but I have not seen it in many of the stores, only in the 7-11 and convenience stores.

We can only hope that the current sites running Save Josta campaigns can have their voices heard.
I would have to agree with nipenguin, in saying that Josta had to have been the best soda that I, too, have ever had the chance to drink.
