Jotham Meeker was born in Hamilton County, Ohio, November 8, 1804.
Jotham Meeker's influence among the Indians can be seen in the obituary notice that was printed in the Missionary Magazine: "His probity and his interested concern won the most confiding affection of the people.
The microfilm of the Jotham Meeker papers may be used in the research room of the Kansas State Historical Society, borrowed through interlibrary loan, or purchased.
