With the internationalisation of the editorial board in 1989, the journal was opened to the international scientific community, and the name "Belgian Journal of Zoology" was chosen.
The Belgian Journal of Zoology is now distributed to the about 400 Belgian and international members of the Society, to bookshops, and is accessible, through an active exchange policy, in 230 libraries of various institutions in more than 50 countries in the world.

International and peer-reviewed, Italian Journal of Zoology began life in 1930, when it was first published under the name of Il Bollettino di Zoologia.
In 1996 the title was changed to the Italian Journal of Zoology, the name by which the publication is now known worldwide.
Italian Journal of Zoology, which is published four times a year, features articles in the fields of protozoan and animal biology and welcomes contributions from both members and non-menbers of the UZI.

They are the appropriate form for new findings of temporary importance, comments on papers published in the journal, important new records of fauna, curiosa, etc. They should be written as a continuous text without the various divisions of regular papers (and without an abstract).
The Italian Journal of Zoology formerly Bollettino di Zoologia
The Italian Journal of Zoology (formerly Bollettino di ZooIogia) is published by the Italian Society of Zoologists (Unione Zoologica Italiana).
All organisms mentioned must be identified by their scientific binomens, in italics; scientific names (spelled in Latin) of taxa above the species group are all capitalised (while an initial lower-case letter should be used for vernacular names), and each one treated as a singular noum, not a plural or an adjective.

From 1917 to 1921 Enriques was teaching Zoology and Comparative Anatomy at the University of Sassari (Sardinia).
Then in 1922 he was carried to fill the chair of Zoology in Padua University, where he became Director of the Institute of Zoology and Comparative Anatomy.
His Scientific interest lay above all in the field of Comparative Cytoiogy and Physiology and of Genetics, in particular with regard to sex-linked inheritance (flies and silkworms).
