		I talked with Joy as quickly as I could get through the crowd to her, and we made an appointment to talk with Rep. Baker as soon as he got out of the committee hearing he had to attend immediately following ours.
		When session started we all went to the gallery to sit in, just in case the bill came up today, as that was a possibility.
		But early on, Rep. Baker motioned for Joy, met her out in the hall, and told her that it would not be on the agenda today, but possibly would Monday afternoon.

	Fall 2003 - Interstate 5 - Home Fried Fuel
		Barbour works about one hour every two weeks to produce 25 gallons of biodiesel: enough to fuel his Suburban, Datsun pickup, Mercedes and one boat, he said.
		Barbour estimates the Seattle area produces enough waste vegetable oil to satisfy the fuel needs of 40,000 families.
		Barbour said the process of making biodiesel is so easy and inexpensive that individuals can make it on a small scale.

	Review Articles: July 1984
		James Gunn's The Joy Makers first appeared as a Bantam paperback in 1961; I'm not sure when I read it--sometime later in the decade.
		If the characters are essentially generalized, the concept upon which the tale is erected is full of enough ambiguities to make the reader think it through; furthermore, it is ethical in the best sense.
		The Joy Makers is a flawed work, but in its ironic play with both the concepts of social engineering (science) and the needs of pulp adventure (fiction), it demonstrates that from the first Gunn was not just an aficionado but a true student of his chosen field.
