Babauta either just ignored all these facts, or he blatantly kept going knowing full well that he was destroying the CNMI in the process.
The thought of Juan Babauta ever running for any office again is just completely absurd to me. His crimes have been completely exposed now, and we all know what a terrible financial manager and Governor he was.
If you're like me, you may have been wondering what ever happened to the newspaper that Juan Babauta said he was going to start after leaving office, or you may have gone to the college to sign up for the course that he said he was going to be teaching.

Babauta's statements come on the heels of the OPA management letter, which had cited him for allegedly violating several statutes, including exceeding his budget appropriation, during his term as CNMI Resident Representative to Washington D. in 1998 and 1999.
