The last major issue of Victoria was the "Jubilee issue" of 1887, a set of twelve designs ranging from 1/2p to 1sh, most printed in two colors or on colored paper.
The pair of large-format stamps featured a lion in an imposings stance; they were issued twice, in 1924, and then in 1925, the stamps of each year being inscribed with the year of issue.
The century of the postage was celebrated in 1940 with a set of six depicting Victoria and George VI side-by-side.

The stamps were cancelled in complete sheets with the gum on the back of the stamp and were used in the 1960 period for making up packets for children to collect.
Imprimatur - In philately, usually a postage stamp cut from one of the first sheets to be printed of a new design or new plate, often on ungummed paper and usually imperf; frequently the issued stamps were perforated and of a different shade of ink.
Modern postage stamps may be printed with colorless inks containing a phosphor, either in the form of bands (visible when viewed at an acute angle) or as 'all-over phosphor', or the phosphor may be coated on the paper before stamp printing begins.

 Queen Victoria Jubilee Issue Postage Stamps from Elstree Stamps
These new stamps appeared on 1st January 1887, the same year the queen celebrated the 50th anniversary of her accession, so it was inevitable that they should become known as the Jubilee Issue.
They were in fact the result of the work of the 1884 Stamp Committee, appointed to remedy the problems arising from the confusion of values and colours, especially the universally disliked 'Lilacs and Greens' of 1883-84.
The stamp was issued on 1st January therefore very early usage.

 Rare Photographic Images Surface On Golden Jubilee Issue 11/02/02
Some of the images of Queen Elizabeth II featured on the new Australia Post Jubilee stamp product range are the work of 20th Century English photographer Dorothy Wilding.
Born in England in 1893, Wilding went on to become England’s most successful portrait photographer and the first woman to be granted ‘By Appointment’ status to the royal family.
Wilding’s series of portraits used in the new Australia Post release show a young monarch which were taken just prior to her accession to the throne.

Although issued on 1 May 1840 in London, the Penny Black (together with the Twopenny Blue and Mulreadys) was not valid for postage until 6 May 1840, which is thus not the first day of issue but rather the first day of official use.
