Earlier this week, Sen. Robson, D-Beloit, and Rep. Steve Freese, R-Dodgeville, wrote to the Elections Board asking the board to draft and put into effect a rule that would require disclosure of who is paying for many ads and telephone messages which are currently exempt from state campaign disclosure laws.
Therefore, Robson and Freese asked the Elections Board to promulgate a rule identical to the legislation proposed by JCRAR.
Robson noted that the board could promulgate an emergency rule identical to the bill drafted by the JCRAR and have it in place for the fall elections.

Bet on tracks hits seniors, ciritics say Milwaukee Journal, The - Find Articles
Robson, a former geriatric nurse, said at the same time the Republican governor was ending home personal care services that help many elderly people stay out of nursing homes, Thompson was giving a bigger than inflation boost in the rates the state pays nursing homes that provide taxpayer beds for low- income seniors.
That net effect of both actions the cutting of home personal care workers, along with the 4.5% and 5% rate increases over the next two years for nursing home owners will mean more senior citizens ending up in higher-cost nursing homes instead of staying longer in their homes, Robson said.
Not only is home personal care cheaper than putting low-income seniors in a nursing home, federal funds pay for most of the costs of the program, Robson said.
