Judy was said to be the only person ever contracted at MGM without a screen test, though the same claim has been made with reference to several other stars.
When she was working on The Judy Garland Show at CBS during the 1963/1964 season, the sign on her dressing room door read, "The Legend." She was one of the most loved and most popular personalities of all time.
Judy's memorial service was at Campbell's Funeral Chapel in New York on June 27, 1969, and she was laid to rest at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York (see photo above).

One of the topics on the show was fat children, and the show was generally just a lot of bashing about how they should be made to suffer for their own good.
At the end of this show one of the regulars, Judy Gold, suggested that a solution to there being so many fat American children is that they should be SET ON FIRE because the burning process would make them lose weight, and that its just FUN to watch them die that way.
I have seen Judy perform live on a couple of occasions, and I am quite familiar with the tone and content of her act.
