Forsythe Pendleton "Jughead" Jones is a fictional character in Archie Comics, first appearing in December, 1941.
Jughead is the weird one of Archie's social circle.
As a consequence of his eating habits, Jughead is also a preferred customer of most of Riverdale's food establishments, especially Pop Tate's Chocolat Shoppe[?], and a very respected food critic.

In a pinch, Arch gets Jughead to be her escort, and, after giving her poison ivy from, of all places, a graveyard, chaos again erupts, but later on, Veronica convinces her parents to move to Riverdale, mostly because she likes the town, and partly to get back at Archie!
In Jughead, he underwent a horrific change in appearance and attitude, gaining a mohawk and adopting the lifestyle of a skateboarding thrasher while gaining a new circle of friends who were even weirder than he was.

JUGHEAD’S FANTASY was a Archie Comic’s short-lived — unfortunately, only three issues were published — follow-up to JUGHEAD’S FOLLY (1957), a special one-shot that supposedly contains the first reference to Elvis Presley ever to appear in comic books.
Juggie is startled to be greeted by a pirate and a cowboy, who he immediately realizes are Archie and Reggie, both wearing costumes for Veronica’s masquerade party, an event he neglected to remember.
Without a costume, Jughead won’t be allowed to attend the bash (and all of its “eats”) so he sends on his friends, planning to join them later.

I specifically remember an actual Archie strip where Jughead lost his hat and had to make one, and they actually showed a panel of Jughead cutting up what looked like a fedora to make a replacement.
The "rokkershaw" picture below appears to be the most "accurate" representation of what Jughead would've worn, while the Archie-made one appears to be their attempt to make it look as much like the art in the comics.
There was an issue of the comic in which Jughead lost his hat and had to make a new one.
