Rabbi Harlow’s poem appears in the Sim Shalom Siddur, published in 1985 by the Rabbinical Assembly, the Conservative movement’s rabbinical arm; it’s suggested as an alternative reading during the Friday evening service, paired with one of the blessings before the Shema.
She was also drawn to its structure, which she felt she could respond to in a parallel musical structure, using two voices, violin and soprano.
It was her husband who first brought it to her attention, and Rabbi Harlow only learned of its use a few months ago when he came across something about it on the Internet.

My favorite comes from the Musaf (extra AM) service (why we need an extra service when we’re supposed to be resting on Shabbos or holidays I leave to Talmudists).
