Julia Smith - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Julia Smith (1927, London - June 19, 1997) was a British television director and producer.
When casting for the show, Julia had the guideline 'Only genuine Eastenders need apply'; it was this that gave her the idea for the name of the show, which would be called EastEnders.
Julia didn't think 'Eastenders' on paper looked stylish enough, and it was decided to capatilise the second E. After the success of EastEnders, Julia and Tony set about creating another soap for the BBC.

Smith contends that when a plaintiff discovered or should have discovered the fraud for the purposes of the limitations period is a fact question to be decided by a jury.
Smith recognizes that a complaint must contain the time and circumstances of discovery of the alleged fraud to toll the running of the limitations period and thereby entitle a plaintiff to relief from the bar of the limitations period.
Smith's general reference to the alleged fraud as being "of a continuing nature" is wholly lacking in specificity and equally deficient as a means of saving the action from the bar of the statute of limitations appearing on the face of the complaint.

Review | Love Monkey by Kyle Smith
Smith describes Julia as a girl that "looks amazing" or has "hair like summer and a voice like 3 AM." That kind of dimebag description may have worked for Mickey Spillane, but it detracts from Smith's strengths as an observer.
And Smith passes up a great comic opportunity to have Tom appear a fool when his protagonist is talking with a construction worker in a bar.
Smith's prose is a simile-heavy tundra, relying upon cultural references and lexical blending ("alcohole," "Banana Republican").
