Julia Venissa - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Julia Venissa (or Genissa), according to genealogical legends recorded in the Anglo-Saxon Historia Britonum, was a daughter of the Roman Emperor Claudius.
At any rate, Claudius is stated to have given Julia Venissa in marriage to Caradoc Arviragus, a Silurian-born Roman citizen later appointed King of the Province of Britain in Roman Britannia.
The grandson of Caradoc and Julia, King Coilus of Britain (105-181), married Eugein Verch Cyllin, granddaughter of Boudicca and Prasutagus by way of Princess Julia of the Iceni, one of the two daughters raped by the Romans in the incident that started the famed uprising.
