Julia the Elder - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Julia quickly became pregnant again, but the husband died suddenly in March 12 BC in Campania at the age of 51.
Julia is described as a child who was instantly snatched away from her mother and taken by her father's new wife, Livia.
In the BBC Television mini series adaptation of I, Claudius, Julia was portrayed by Frances White as the overly optimistic, witty and beloved daughter of Augustus.

 Apollonius.Net - Julia Domna
Julia was a Syrian (Domna being her Syrian name) and was the daughter of the hereditary high priest Bassianus at Emesa (now Homs) in Syria and elder sister of Julia Maesa.
Born of obscure parents in Emesa, she attracted the attention of her future husband long before his elevation to the purple, in consequence, we are told, of an astrological prediction, which declared that she was destined to be the wife of a sovereign.
Upon learning the successful issue of the rebellion of Macrinus, Julia at first resolved not to survive the loss of her son and of her dignities, but having been kindly treated by the conqueror, she for a while indulged in bright anticipations.

 Julia Maesa
Julia Maesa (c.165-224): Roman empress, grandmother of the Roman emperors Heliogabalus (218-222) and Severus Alexander (222-235).
Maesa's elder sister Julia Domna had married a senator named Septimius Severus, who unexpectedly became emperor in the summer of 193 after the brief reign of Pertinax.
Julia Domna, the mother of Caracalla, facilitated the succession by committing suicide; and Macrinus allowed Maesa to keep her great wealth and retire to Emesa.

Julia lived a miserable life of hardship and scandal, the last 12 years in banishment during which all three of her sons died.
In 14 A.D., Julia the Elder died of slow starvation, either as the result of suicide or on the orders of her vengeful ex-husband, the emperor Tiberius.
Julia and Agrippa's other three children included Julia the younger (19 B.C.), Agrippina Senior (14 B.C., she played a crucial role in Tiberius’s reign and the fate of Rome), and Agrippa Postumus (12 B.C., the last surviving son of Julia).

Julia Soaemias (c.180-222): empress of the Roman empire, mother of Heliogabalus (emperor 218-222).
The story was told that Julia Soaemias had once had a brief affair with Caracalla, and that Varius Avitus Bassianus was in fact the former emperor's son.
In this conflict, Julia Maesa and the Senate backed the caesar, and on 11 or 12 March 222, Heliogabalus and Soaemias were lynched by the soldiers.

Julia the Younger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Paullus had a family relation to her, as both had Scribonia as grandmother: Julia's mother was a daughter of Scribonia by Augustus; Paullus' mother, Cornelia Scipio, was a daughter of Scribonia resulting from her earlier marriage to Publius Cornelius Scipio Salvito.
She was no Julia Caesaris by birth: being the daughter of a Vipsanius Agrippa makes her a Vipsania Agrippina by birth, although there are no contemporary sources that show that that name would have been used for her.
She came to belong to the household of the Julio-Claudian dynasty as she was raised and instructed by her maternal grandfather Augustus.

Some sources say that Julia Domna was the daughter of the high priest of the Syrian god Elagabalus, and that the future Roman emperor may have met her while stationed at a legionary camp near Antioch.
Julia and her relatives came to dominate the imperial court, giving the Severan dynasty a very oriental character with their predilection for luxuriant materials, richly decorated mosaics, and other exotica.

Thus it might be thought that Julia's features were assimilated to her husband's, as happened in the case of Octavia and Livia.
Since she played such a crucial role in Augustus' bloodline it seems unlikely that the copyists would have minimized Julia's resemblances to her father in favour of Agrippa, thereby distancing her from the likenesses of her sons Gaius and Lucius, whose images in turn were modelled closely on that of Augustus.
