Julius Curtius (1877-1948) was Foreign Minister of Germany from October, 1929 to October 1931.
Curtius was a member of the right-wing German People's Party and worked closely with Heinrich Brüning to revise the Treaty of Versailles in Germany's favor.
Curtius was intimately involved in the negotiations that led to the issuing of the Hoover Moratorium by the U.S President Herbert Hoover that halted reparations payments by Germany in June 1931 as part of the effort to limit the financial fall-out of the banking collapse.

Harvard University Press: History of Alexander, I, Books 1-5 by Quintus Curtius
Quintus Curtius was apparently a rhetorician who lived in the first century of the Roman empire and, early in the reign of Claudius (AD 41–54), wrote a history of Alexander the Great in 10 books in clear and picturesque style for Latin readers.
The first two books have not survived—our narrative begins with events in 333 BC—and there is material missing from books V, VI, and X. One of his main sources is Cleitarchus who, about 300 BC, had made Alexander's career a matter of marvellous adventure.
Curtius is not a critical historian; and in his desire to entertain and to stress the personality of Alexander, he elaborates effective scenes, omits much that is important for history, and does not worry about chronology.

Following the resignation of Luther, Marx formed another minority government (Center, DVP, DDP, Bavarian People's Party) and was appointed Reich Chancellor (17 May 1926).
No confidence vote in the Reichstag (17 Dec 1926, 249:171) initiated by the Social Democrats brought about the resignation of Marx and his government, but after the negotiations of Julius Curtius (DVP) with party leaders failed, Reich President Hindenburg commissioned Marx to form his fourth government (Center, DNVP, DVP, Bavarian People's Party).
When the elections of 1928 brought one third of the seats to SPD, Marx, whose party lost seven mandates, tendered his resignation (12 Jun 1928).
