		July 11 - Peter Manous, an attorney from Merrillville, Ind., was chosen by Governor O'Bannon to succeed Robin Winston as the new Indiana Democratic Party Chairman.
		July 30 - A congressional investigation of state records found that nearly one third of nursing home residents were abused, with violations occuring between January 1999 and January 2001.
		July 31 - Robert W. Pickett, of Evansville, Ind., was sentenced to three years in a federal mental health facility for firing shots outside the White House in February.

		Two previous reports (see the May 2001 and February 2000 Headache News in the News Archives) based on data in European birth registries found a trend to reduced birth weight and early delivery.
		A study published in the July 5 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine showed that there is a correlation between specific defects in the gene and different clinical signs and symptoms in people suffering from familial hemiplegic migraine.
		An unblinded study of tizanidine was previously reported in the June 2001 issue of Headache and summarized in the June Headache News update.

	Context of 'July 10, 2001'
		Though he doesn't mention it, the chief security concern at the late July 2001 conference he mentions is intelligence that al-Qaeda plans to fly an airplane into the conference.
		Three weeks earlier, Dave Frasca, the head of the RFU unit, had received Ken Williams' memo (see July 10, 2001) expressing concern about terrorists training in US flight schools and he also knew all about the Moussaoui case, but he apparently was not “spun up” enough to connect the two cases.
		First on the list was: “Bring down their airliners.” (see Summer 1998) The main focus of FBI agent Ken Williams's July 2001 memo, warning about Middle Eastern students training in Arizona flight schools, was a member of Bakri's organization (see July 10, 2001).

		On July 11, 2001, six environmental organizations announced the launch of their new certification watchdog website, “goodwoodwatch.org,” according to the July 11, 2001 Environmental News Network article, "Keep the 'Eco' in Eco-Certification" by the David Suzuki Foundation.
		Also on July 11, 2001, Rainforest Foundation and WALHI, Indonesia's largest national environmental organization, issued a press release titled, "Environmentalists Challenge 'Eco-Timber' Go-ahead for Logging In Endangered Habitat" calling for the revocation of FSC certification for a Sumatran rainforest that is home to the endangered Sumatran tiger.
		In one of the most recent criticisms of the SFI, on July 10, 2001, an American Lands press release accused the SFI Certification of "greenwashing" claims that Pacific Lumber's logging of old-growth is sustainable.

		The 7/22/01 earthquake near Seattle is in the same area as the 6.8 earthquake on February 28, 2001, and is undoubtedly an aftershock.
		While moderate eartquakes are predicted on the U.S. West Coast in July and August, the next window for a larger earthquake on that coast is September - October.
		Predictions for this period are for two separate eclipse paths, the January 9 and July 5, 2001 lunar eclipses.

		At this point in time (11 July) some have been harvested, some are still growing, and some were eaten by a woodchuck (must be an Italian woodchuck-he only went after the Franchi Sementi stuff).
		Broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, radicchio should be started between now and the end of July for folks in zones five and six.
		The four seasons (4-stagioni) is a real fall standout; it becomes very red as the nights cool and it is very cold hardy.

		It seems like July 4th is the one day of the year which just about every property owner is in Lake Lure, all at one time, and most have guests with them so obviously it is the busiest day of the year.

		On July 2, the Coalition for Economic Justice/Jobs with Justice in Buffalo organized a rally on the one-year anniversary of Buffalo’s adoption of a living wage ordinance.
