In the late morning of June 1, 1969 Alpha Company discovered an abandoned enemy position, which consisted of 2 hooch's, 1 lean to, 2 bunkers (4’in length 8’ wide and 4’ deep with a 2’ overhead), and a 15’ sampan on a rack.
The following morning (June 2, 1969) Bravo Company discovered additional bunkers to our North which needed to be inspected and secured before we attempted the river crossing.
During the night (June 1, 1969), the NVA moved back into the Bunker complex unbeknownst to Alpha Company.

The European Space Agency (ESA) on Monday set June 2 as the new date for the launch of its first solo mission to Mars, which had been delayed by 10 days by a technical problem.
The United States is also sending two spacecraft, Mars Explorer Rover A and Mars Explorer Rover B. Rover A was initially scheduled to be launched on May 30, but this will be delayed by at least a week to deal with a last-minute technical hitch, NASA said on April 15.
The earliest possible date for the second launch is June 25.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – A June 9 public hearing in La Crosse will provide Wisconsin residents with an opportunity to submit comments on a federal study and draft plan for managing the Upper Mississippi River in the future.
Wisconsin officials say this is an opportunity for state residents to support managing the river for ecosystem restoration as well as for commercial navigation, including devoting the $8.4 billion necessary over the next 50 years to fund that restoration work.
An informal open house will run from 2 to 4 p.m., with registration for speaking about the study from 5:30 to 6:30.

If you want to know the difference between Republicans and Democrats, look at how Dem Presidents Carter and Clinton have spent their time after they left office, and how GOP Presidents Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Bush41 spent theirs.
I understand the impulse, but 1) it is unoriginal, and 2) it detracts from the both the seriousness of the Watergate scandal and the current illegalities by virtue of it's being slapped onto every little political investigation of the past fifteen years.

In a rare celestial spectacle, two comets have been observed plunging into the Sun's atmosphere in close succession, on June 1 and 2.
This unusual event on Earth's own star was followed on June 2 by a likely unrelated but also dramatic ejection of solar gas and magnetic fields on the southwest (or lower right) limb of the Sun.
The observations of the comets and the large erupting prominence were made by the LASCO coronagraph on the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) spacecraft.
