To modern ears, Straight out the Jungle will likely sound somewhat dated -- the raw, basement-level production is pretty rudimentary even compared to their second album, and makes the jazz-rap innovations a bit difficult to fully comprehend, plus, the album ends on several throwaways.

Yeah, Jungle Brothers put together a classic hip hop album with 'Done By the Forces of Nature'....I love this album still after so many years...To me, its one of the most accessible "old-school" hip hop albums ever....
The Jungle Brothers were easily the most afrocentric members of the Native Tongues.
The Jungle Bros. may have fallen off after this, but like I said, they did stand right with or above their De La and Tribe counterparts back then.
