		Water levels in the reservoir were low, giving us the opportunity to view mammals and large waterbirds from the station compound, while excursions by jeep, elephant and on foot, took us through the mosaic of forest and grassland that makes this area of the park so interesting.
		Highlights included Jungle Owlet, White-rumped Needletail, Pallas's Fish Eagle, three Cinereous Vultures, a vagrant juvenile Pied Harrier, several contacts with Himalayan Flameback and the diminutive Collared Falconet, Jungle Myna, Bright-headed Cisticola, and Crested and Chestnut-eared Buntings.
		Both Painted Spurfowl and Jungle Bush Quail showed well again, as did a superb pair of White-naped Woodpeckers, two Brown Fish Owls coming to roost, several Brown Crakes, two Jungle Prinias, and a tame party of Tawny-bellied Babblers.

		We had some trouble in separating the fast flying sunbirds; first we thought that all of them were Purple Sunbirds but after a while we realised that most of them were Purple-rumped.
		Jungle Myna has crest and no red-yellow area around eye, the bill is 75% yellow.
		Jungle Crow is of course fl but also bulkier (more raven-like) and has a harsher call.
