The Eurovision Song Contest 2003 was the 48th Eurovision Song Contest and was held on May 24, 2003 in Riga, Latvia.
Whilst the contest featured its usual collection of dance numbers and power ballads (complete with "truck-driver's" key changes for the last chorus in typical Eurovision style), and entries pulled the usual stunt of attractive dancers gradually removing some clothing throughout the performance, there were several acts that generally stood out from the usual fare.
Erener's song clearly showed her nationality with a striking violin hook in typically Turkish pop style, emphasised with attractive dancers accompanying her performing a bellydance.

Their now notorious song "Cry Baby" had a midweek position of No.15 in the UK charts, but with their debut album looming for release in Autumn 2003, and a follow up single out in August, Jemini could have a mountain to climb to make a successful comeback.
Songs should be no longer than three minutes in duration and have been written by one or more of the performers, with only strictly limited adult help.

Last year's song from Denmark was outstanding and the performers were excellent.

The songs that i enjoyed are as follows, Tom Morley from the U.K with his 'My Song for the world' was excellent the lyrics are about making the world a better place, the song really is touching, he came third.
The girls who sing this song seem to shout it and near the end they appear to laugh at each other for a few seconds i dont know whether this was intentional but it doesnt sound right for the song.
The Eurovision Song Contest will always have a place in my heart because its a fun, eagerly anticipated, and a suspenseful event thats fun to watch (especially when its score time.) The Junior version was well done and impressed me a lot, if you get a chace to watch it i recommend you do so.

Dino is a veteran of many International Song festivals and won awards in all 10 in which he participated.
