The EF 126 could carry about 400 kgs of bombs or Panzerblitz weapons at a speed of well over 600 km/h at sealevel.
As the EF 126 was to be used as an attack aircraft it would have had a much strengthened fuselage.

  Mikoyan-Gurevich I-270 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the closing stages of World War II, a complete prototype Me 263 (at that time designated Junkers Ju 248), plus technical staff and design documentation had fallen into Soviet hands when the Junkers factory was captured.
Some sources suggest that the I-270 may also have been influenced by the Junkers EF 126 rocket fighter project, materials for which were captured by the Soviets at the same time as the Me 263.
The first gliding trials commenced in December 1946, with the first prototype towed into the air behind a Tupolev Tu-2, ballast loaded in place of an engine.

The Ef-126 was to have been made up of a metal fuselage with wooden wings, with as much as possible being made from low grade and recycled non-strategic materials.
The aircraft was not fitted with an engine at this point, but was towed* into the air by a Junkers Ju-88G.
The second test flight was on the 21/5/1946, this again with out the Argus As 044 engine being fitted, this flight ended with the aircraft crashing and killing the pilot Herr Matthies.

Note the Junkers Jumo 022, under designation NK-12, is the world longest lived jet engine fitted to many Soviet aircraft such as the TU-91, TU-95, Tu-128 and TU-142, many which are still flying today.
During the fall and winter of 1944 and 1945, a substantial number of ME 262s were put into operational use, but not enough to seriously hamper the Allied campaign.
