		Jurriaan Hendrik Andriessen (November 15, 1925–August 23, 1996) was a Dutch composer, whose father, Hendrik, brother Louis, and uncle Willem have also been notable composers.
		Andriessen studied composition with his father at the Utrecht Conservatory before moving to Paris where he studied with Olivier Messiaen.
		The bulk of Andriessen's output is for the stage; his study in Paris was primarily in writing film music.

		Now Louis Andriessen has a brother, Jurriaan, who actually did what his brother could only talk about, namely puting out records that were actually bought by regular folks.
		The track that was expected to have the most hit potential (assuming so because it's the first track on the record), is the feeble funk tune Jack, refering to the term for "plug." The woman shouting "Jack" is almost Shaft-like in intention, but the track is lost anyway because of terrible timing.

		Although they came from a non-artistic background, the brothers Jurriaan Andriessen and Anthonie Andriessen (1747-1813) became successful painters, specializing in supplying painted wallpapers, which they made at their factory in Amsterdam.
		Both brothers were active in the Amsterdam Tekenacademie; their pupils included some of the best-known 19th-century Dutch artists, such as Wouter Johannes van Troostwijk, Hendrik Voogd and Jean Grandjean, as well as Jurriaan's son Christiaan Andriessen and granddaughter Cornelia Aletta van Hulst.
		From 1754 to 1758 Jurriaan Andriessen was apprenticed to Antoni Elliger and from 1759 to 1760 to Jan Maurits Quinkhard.
