 Forum on justice continues progress
The forum consisted of a panel that was moderated by Nancy Anderson, professor of history.
Justice should be active rather than reactive, Holmes said, and "because of that, justice sometimes hurts." Self-empowerment was the keystone to Holmes reflections.
Leaving justice to the next guy is an obstacle, thinking of the self over others, and sowing the seeds of discouragement are impediments along the path to justice, he surmised.

 CDC Justice & Democracy Forum
The forum transcripts are posted on the web in the CDC archives.The Nevada Law Journal published a special issue on the law and politics of tort reform in the Winter of 2004.
This inaugural forum in the Justice and Democracy Forum series took place Dec. 10, 2002, under the heading "Judging the Judges: Should We Elect or Appoint Nevada Judges?" The forum drew a sizable audience, generated considerable publicity, and lead to calls for reforms.
A day after the forum, Jane Ann Morrison and Erin Neff printed extensive reports about the forum and John Smith wrote a column titled "Maybe Good Mechanics Make Better Judges Than Mediocre Lawyers," where he argued that voters should be the ultimate judges on which judges are best suited for the bench.

 The Nanaimo Community Justice Forum: A Restorative Justice Partnership in British Columbia, Canada
The community justice forum model is used across Canada, part of a wider national restorative justice initiative.
Restorative justice processes were influenced by North American Aboriginal and other traditional justice practices, in which everyone sits in a circle and speaks in turn, to resolve an issue affecting the community.
At the forum, attended by the student’s parents and school staff, the student accepted responsibility for her offense.

 Speech Restrictions in the Traditional Public Forum
The three categories of public spaces identified by the Court are (1) the traditional public forum, (2) the designated public forum (which might be either “limited” or “unlimited”), and (3) the non-public forum.
Chief Justice Rehnquist and four other members of the Court took the limited view that only places that "have time out of mind" been used for expressive activities should be within the definition of the forum.
His focus on traditional use, as well as the principal purpose of the public space (here, to facilitate transportation, not to be a spot for expressive activities) led him to conclude that the airport concourse was not part of the traditional public forum.

Community Justice is an approach to crime and delinquency that includes the community in criminal justice processes and is concerned with improving the quality of community life and addressing the needs of victims.
The central tenet of restorative justice is that offenders have an obligation to the community.
Offender Reintegration Community Justice asks the question, “What is necessary for victims and neighbors to feel okay about an offender living in the community?” This question is asked when the court decides to give a community sentence (e.g., probation) and when an offender is released from jail or prison.

In November 2005 Nick decided not to appeal to Japan's Supreme Court as he said he has lost faith in the Japanese justice system and, given the 99.97% conviction rate in Japan, another lengthy appeal would only prolong an inevitable outcome.
It is as a result of the above that we would say that Japan is unique among all major democracies in practising systematic defiance of the international rules of Fair trial that they are treaty bound to observe.

The Forum was a regional conference for representatives of the ministry of justices, the judiciary and civil society from Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, the Caucasian region, as well as representative of international institutions such as the European Union, the Council of Europe and the World Bank.
