The parent or central JLA Hypertimeline consists of a continuing flow of stories that occurred in the original Justice League of America, subsequent Justice League International/America, and current JLA series.

When a new creative team takes over a title, they effectively introduce a new Hypertimeline into the scheme.
For instance, the current JLA scribe Mark Waid's JLA will most likely be different from predecessor Grant Morrison's "take" in terms of characterization and Justice League stories the former considers "canonical".
