Jyhad, Magic and Card Limits (very, very looong)
Library cards in Jyhad may be looked at as vehicles or opportunities that allow you to utilize those constrained resources in a more effective way, rather than being a constrained resource itself.
There are maximum deck size limits in Jyhad, but for the sake of simplicity, in this argument we assume that a Library rarely runs out of cards during a game, so we can ignore this factor for now.
As mentioned above, in Jyhad, common Library cards are not supposed to be a constrained resource, but are rather vehicles which allow the player to more effectively utilize his other resources, which are constrained and limited.

Jyhad is a joint effort of WotC and White Wolf (published "in cooperation with," it says on the box).
Based on White Wolf's Vampire: The Masquerade RPG and its World of Darkness setting, the players of Jyhad are Methuselahs, ancient and powerful vampires in constant warfare with each other, though that warfare is conducted through proxies and by indirect attacks and subterfuge.
There are two types of cards: one (with the amber backs) represents vampires of various clans, strengths and powers, and the other (with green backs) represents equipment, mortal servants, special powers, combat modifications and everything else that comes into play.

While vampires prey upon each other and humanity, they are secretly dominated by vastly powerful elder vampires, who wage war against one another by pulling the strings of younger vampires, and manipulating kindred society itself.
The older set (with card backs labeled "Jyhad," not "Vampire") is still perfectly legal to play, and boxes of booster packs typically go for about $20 on eBay.

Way back in the day (about the 3rd Edition of Magic tha Gatherin), Wizards of the Coast tried to answer to the success of Magic and to the nature of it only being a two-player game and released Jyhad, the Vampire/Whitewolf game that was built from the ground up as a multiplayer experience.

Because Jyhad was the second TCG released by WotC, and the 3rd or 4th TCG released by anyone (I can't recall if Illuminati and Spellfire came out before Jyhad or not--the memory's getting pretty rusty!) it came out before the "TCG bubble" burst.
Goudie: One of the most controversial decisions in the history of this game was the change of the name from Jyhad to V:TES.

It is possible that a 90 card deck may be less efficient than a smaller deck but it might also be more fun because it covers more corner-case scenarios and contains 'fun' cards that you want to try but would never take to a tournament.
