		Instead, a pint of expensive McDowell's rum, which the 52-year-old Motilal Choudhari carelessly left behind in a temple at Aunda Nagnath, awakened the decades-old tension between two religious communities and laced with a bada dose of hostility between two major political parties even forced a bandh in the otherwise somnolent town.
		Chowdhari, who was later arrested for desecrating the temple, told police that an apparition of Lord Shiva advised him to sprinkle a few drops of rum on the Jyotirling at Aunda Nagnath, to help renounce his addiction.
		The Aunda Nagnath temple houses one of the 12 most revered Jyotirlings in the country and is believed to have been built by the Pandavas.
