		K is an album by Kula Shaker, released September 16, 1996.
		When it was released, it became the fastest selling debut album in Britain since Oasis' Definitely Maybe.
		The Grateful Dead's psychodelia rock style is an obvious influence on Kula Shakers first and second albums.

		Relient K was founded in 1998 by Matt Thiessen and Matt Hoopes on guitar, and Brian Pittman on bass.
		Some tracks on the album are being produced by Howard Benson (All-American Rejects, My Chemical Romance, P.O.D. Thiessen stated during the band's performance at the Ichthus Music Festival 2006 that they started working on their new album on Sunday, June 18, 2006.
		Nintendo recently announced that Relient K will be one of the major performing groups at their Nintendo Fusion Tour for 2006.

		Sara K is joined on Water Falls by an excellent group of mostly European musicians, not surprising as her label, Stockfisch Records, is headquartered in Northeim, Germany.
		As Sara K explains in her liner notes, he's a Russian street busker she passed each day on her way to the studio, who would shift from his usual repertoire of musette waltzes each time he spotted her to play this American music tribute.
		All in all, Sara K's album Water Falls is excellent, addressing grownup concerns with heart, soul and intellect without ever losing the childlike joy inherent in friends playing together.

		I think they poured their heart n' soul 4 this album, and which is probably why they hadn't released something for a while.
		This particular album ("K") is probably one of the best 'psychedelic' album that got produced in the 90s...since the true psychedelic era...
		No word on what the "k" stands for, but opinions will vary between "kitsch" and "killer." Most listeners will opt for the latter as these Brits combine the swagger of Oasis, a pinup singer with immaculate show biz bloodlines, and a rich sound that breathes melodic fire into '60s psychedelia.

		The days when I knew this album released in 1978 I was not aware what prog was all about and I just considered that this album was a unique hard rock music — until lately in the 90s when the internet buffs started to mention about progressive rock.
		As U.K. didn't last long and released only a handful albums it prompted me to seek out other work by the musicians (each one of them in a league of their own), such was the desire for more of this.
		Definitively one of the most "overlooked" albums ever, for me this is an impressive manifest of the fussion-prog-rock, the line-up is "scary", especially because of Bruford and Holdsworth, the album in general is quite dense and not very easy to "eat" and probably that´s the reason because it has been so left out...

		Unlike the ragged blues guitar of The Kinks’ early hits, the album features the warm sound of acoustic guitars, French horns and strings – many of the songs were written on the melotron rather than the guitar.
		The album opens with the brilliant title track, lyrically and musically something of a quiet statement of intent for what is to follow though the absolute highlight for me is the song Village Green, a beautiful piece of melancholy.
		The Village Green Preservation Society is The Kinks’ masterpiece and a highly influential album (I’ve noticed riffs and melodies inadvertently borrowed by David Bowie and Paul Weller).

		I realized later that in fact Bruford, John Wetton and Eddie Jobson appear in King Crimson`s live album called "USA" (Jobson added overdubs for that album), so I thought that this U.K. band was like "a King Crimson line-up without Robert Fripp".
		They rehearsed for 6 weeks before Wakeman left the projected band and re-joined YES for the "Going for the One" album.Bruford and Wetton wanted to carry on playing together, so Wetton invited Jobson, who was playing with Frank Zappa.He didn`t join them very soon because he had some work to do with Zappa`s band.
		So, in late 1978, Bruford and Holdsworth left the band (Bruford says in his official website that he and Holdsworth were "fired" by Wetton, as he considers Wetton as the "real founder" of the band).

		But this album changed everything for me. Matt Thiessen is such a clever lyricist, using enough word plays to delight the wordsmith in me, but also making me think more deeply about my relationship with God and others.
		The maturity on this album is showing that Relient K has a great future ahead of them, although punk rock isn't as big as used to be.
		I do enjoy worship albums that sing about God but it is nice to also have groups like Relient K that deal with the day to day things we all go through.
