		The K Foundation was wound up on November 5th, 1995 when Drummond and Cauty selected the incredibly obscure "Workshop For A Non-Linear Architecture" bulletin to announce a moratorium on K Foundation projects.
		The first manifestation of the K Foundation was a series of adverts in UK national newspapers (both in the magazine supplements of the quality broad sheets and in the tabloid press).
		The K Foundation destroyed their copy of the film – they felt that the public had to have faith that the burning had taken place.

		The 1994 K Foundation award was an award given by the K Foundation to the worst artist of the year.
		The K Foundation announce the 'mutha of all awards', the 1994 K Foundation award for the worst artist of the year." It then went on to detail how a shortlist of four artists had been chosen, and that they would be exhibited in the Tate Gallery.
		The K Foundation's publicist, Mick Houghton, revealed that the voting for the K Foundation's award was supposed to produce a tie, to illustrate the hypocrisy of the Turner award committee, but that strangely the result had been a huge margin of victory for Whiteread.

		The eleventh letter of the Latin alphabet, K comes from the Greek &Kappa or &kappa (Kappa) developed from the Semitic Kap, symbol for an open hand.
		The Semitic sound value /k/ was maintained in most Classic as well as Modern Languages, although Latin abandoned K almost completely, preferring C.
		Note that k as in kilo (SI) is lowercased, whereas K as in kelvin or kilo (computing) is uppercased.

	Art Terrorism
		In 1993 the K Foundation subverted the Turner Prize Awards by simultaneously awarding the winner, Rachael Whitread, their own prize of £40,000 [twice that of the Turner prize] for the worst body of work.
		Begrudgingly Whitread accepted the award after the K foundation threatened to burn it if she did not.
		They wanted to offer the £1,000,000 piece Nailed To The Wall to the Tate as the "1995 K Foundation Bequest to the Nation" but this was later rejected on the basis that they couldn't flmail the Tate as they had Rachael Whitread.

		Drummond, wearing a kilt, hobbled around the stage supported by one crutch, got the lyrics wrong, and ended the performance by firing a machine gun into the audience (it is believed that the gun was loaded with blanks, not live ammunition, although this has never been officially confirmed).
		The Tate said it was a security risk, despite the K Foundation pointing out that they would immediately make a profit of a quarter of a million which they could use to buy some 'real' art.
		The K Foundation also recorded the odd piece of music, the most important of which was the recording of a single with the Red Army Choir, K Cera Cera (War Is Over If You Want It), which was released only in Israel to commemorate the peace process in the Middle East.

		While there are awards with bigger prize funds, the Turner Prize is undoubtedly Britain's highest profile art award.
		The £20,000 prize is awarded every year to a British artist under 50 for an outstanding presentation of their work in the previous twelve months.
		The K Foundation's award was £40,000 - double that of the Turner Prize - and Whiteread initially considered refusing the money, but eventually accepted it and gave it as grants to young artists.
