Oslin's is the kind of hard-won success that is its own seduction, and this is the featherbed music of your adult dreams.
Oslin's charm comes from the way she has way too much class to take any of Nashville's machinery seriously — especially after knocking on doors for more than half her life.
But there are all sorts of underrated songs out there for the singing and Oslin is seduced by the best of them, whether it's reimagining Charlie and Ira Louvin's “My Baby Came Back” with Sun studio echo or restyling Webb Pierce's “Pathway of Teardrops” with just the right hint of feminism.

 Maverick CD reviews - K .T. Oslin
The woman who defined a generation of female country fans with 80's Ladies, K.T. Oslin tapped into country's baby boomer zeitgeist, scoring big with songs that depicted mature women struggling to love, work and live, and her target audience was a generation of females who were broad in number and laden with expendable cash.
Most of the songs are Oslin originals, and range from the sensual Hold Me to the more funky Hey Bobby.
That groundbreaking hit, along with another 15 tracks spanning 1987 through to her criminally over-looked 1996 album My Roots Are Showing album are featured and present a worthwhile snapshot of a great and very distinctive talent.
