	K42 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		K42 is an open-source research operating system currently being developed primarily at IBM TJ Watson Research Center for cache-coherent 64-bit multiprocessor systems.
		K42 consists of a small exception-handling component that serves as the microkernel, a fast IPC mechanism called protected procedure call (PPC), and servers for all other components of the operating system.
		K42 is the university's third generation of research on scalable operating systems.

	Running K42 at UofT
		The second and third consoles are for thinwire, a low level protocol we use to speak to the K42 kernel and to connect a debugger to the kernel.
		Then within the debugger, load the symbols and connect to K42 at the correct port and machine (the middle panel should display the port number on the last line).
		K42 has a fast reboot mode that just reinitializes the OS without resetting the hardware or reloading the kernel from the NFS host or thinwire.

		Now it upgrades the value to cell k42 of Sheet "Sheet", but if i add another sheet based on the same template, instead of adding the values from new sheet to the old value of the k42 cell, it overwrites the value of the new sheet to cell k42.
		Lets suppose i have total value of 10,000 in k42 cell after the end of one sheet, once i add another sheet (sheet2 based on that template) and start puttind data that data should be added into 10,000(old value of k42) not to be replaced.

		An examination of the run-time environment within the Linux-kernel is the starting point for a presentation of the strategy taken to incorporate Linux-kernel code in K42.
		There are four basic aspects of this strategy; presenting K42 as an architecture target for Linux-kernel code, developing interfaces allowing K42 code to call Linux-kernel code, implementing some Linux-kernel internal interfaces using K42 facilities and selectively building Linux-kernel code to include only the desired components.
