Slyck News - KCeasy .18 Released
KCeasy began its existence in 2003, however it only became stable enough for mainstream usage in January 2004.
KCeasy’s most notable attribute is the utilization of the giFT daemon.
KCeasy would take advantage of this development, and earn the reputation of being one off the few well-respected multi-network clients.

Please note that from this version on KCeasy will no longer include the plugin necessary to connect to the FastTrack network.
While it is perfectly legal under German law to create an interoperable client for FastTrack network via reverse engineering I feel that inclusion of FastTrack access with KCeasy is not worth a legal battle between Sharman and myself.
KCeasy is a valuable file sharing client even without FastTrack connectivity and I will continue to develop it as such.

KCeasy Forced to Drop FastTrack (Kazaa) Support - P2P File Sharing Forum
KCeasy is a front end client that uses the giFT daemon to access FastTrack, OpenFT and Gnutella.
In addition, KCeasy has already established a small but impressive community, which in all likelihood will not be too distraught considering OpenFT and Gnutella support are still operational.
My concern is whether or not KCeasy will continue to update the nodes and banlists for fasttrack if it's not going to connect to it.

However, Kceasy is one of the good guys in the file-sharing world who recognizes the importance of contributing information to its host network.
Kceasy not only connects to FastTrack (Kazaa, Kazaa Lite, iMesh, Grokster), but also connects to Gnutella and OpenFT.
With consistent upgrades and improvements, Kceasy may find itself of particular importance in the P2P world considering Random Nut does not plan to reintroduce Kazaa Lite.

KCeasy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Originally, KCeasy included the giFT-FastTrack plug-in, to connect to the network used by Kazaa and Kazaa Lite.
In April 2004, Kazaa copyright holders Sharman Networks threatened legal action against Markus Kern, the German author of KCeasy.
Even though Kern maintains that reverse engineering of protocols for interoperability is legal under German law, he removed the giFT-FastTrack plug-in in KCeasy version 0.12 (released 17th April 2004) to avoid a legal fight.

Abomination of Open Source Development with KCEasy - Free Peer to Peer
I think your idea of programmers being highly intelligent people with nothing in their minds except to develop programs that best suit the needs of the world is more of a damn illusion than a reality!
This is the case with that P2P program named KCEasy.
It would be very reasonable for open source programmers to include adware on the programs that they design and develop because the profits from this venture would provide them with enough resources to continuously develop the damn programs!

One Way for the RIAA to Go on the Offensive. Copyfight: the politics of IP
As I noted in an earlier post (The Best Defense is a Good Offense), if the RIAA really wanted to put filesharing networks like KaZaA out of business, they should hit them where they are vulnerable.
The threat against KCeasy is an obvious example of where the RIAA can strike at KaZaA.
The RIAA should also be providing legal support to the KCeasy's of the world.
