In an apparent violation of FCC rules, conservative talk radio station KFBK 1530 AM in Sacramento transmitted a paid political advertisement to an unknown number of other stations in the area, using the federal Emergency Alert System (EAS), thus automatically forcing the ad onto the stations' airwaves.
KFBK 1530 AM in Sacramento is the Local Primary (LP) station designated to initiate the broadcast of EAS messages in several Northern California counties, including Yolo.
This morning, KFBK initiated the required monthly test of EAS but failed to cease broadcasting via EAS upon the standard message of EAS conclusion ("This concludes this test of the Emergency Alert System").

Btw: Before I departed for my adventure in the army I used to listen to KFBK news religiously, in the mornings awaiting for commander bill and Joe meano (sp?) now I come back home to the valley and they are no longer on, what a disappointment.
Liberalism really is a disease and KFBK is infected, and to think, I actually gained respect for kfbk when they switched to FOX news source for global & national news.

KFBK was Sacramento's only licensee on the local airwaves until KROY arrived in 1937 at 1210 AM and then moved to 1240 AM four years later.
KFBK did talk shows in the past such as Gil Krause in the seventies and Erik St. Johnn in the early eighties.
KFBK is without a doubt, the most successful radio station in Sacramento history, just as KGO is for San Francisco.

Working downtown, I've seen Mark going so far as to pass himself off as a KFBK "reporter" at anti-immigration, pro-war rallies and the public lynching of elected officials in order to further his special blend of xenophobia, hypocrisy and rage.
Based on the hate, anger and illiteracy of their posts, I'd venture to say KFBK's management is probably better off, as well as the vast majority of listeners who don't share in the vitriol of your tired, knee-jerk ranting and raving.
