Murray Hill and Kips Bay are among Manhattan’s last affordable neighborhoods, but their popularity with buyers looking for space in classic rowhouses or new high-rises means these tucked away enclaves won’t remain in the shadows for long.
Murray Hill, bounded by 34th and 40th streets and Park Avenue and the East River, is similar to Kips Bay, a neighborhood with the same east-west dimensions that stretches south to 23rd Street.
Kips Bay, named for farmowner Jacobus Henderson Kip, is more affordable, residential and middle-class, though with slightly less elegant architecture.

In addition, the REE testbed will be used to develop a strategy for achieving fault-tolerance and system-level reliability in the space environment with an architecture that minimizes or eliminates the use of radiation-hardened components.
Some architectural modifications will inevitably be necessary to achieve these objectives, since the commercial computing industry does not design its products with the restrictions of the space environment in mind.
Significance: The REE testbed will be used to test, refine, and validate scalable architectures and system approaches to increased power performance and fault tolerance prior to investing in the development of a flight prototype.

 ArchitectureWeek - Building - Structural Aluminum - 2003.0903
One myth is that aluminum is not sufficiently strong to serve as a structural metal.
The fact is that the most common aluminum structural alloy, 6061-T6, has a minimum yield strength of 35 kips per square inch (240 megapascal), which is almost equal to that of A36 steel.
This strength, coupled with its light weight makes aluminum particularly advantageous for structural applications where dead load is a concern.
