ULEB CUP   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-09)
Despite some of the most arduous competitions in the world during the 1980's, Zadar would add a fifth domestic crown in 1986, in the same year that its rival Cibona was strong enough to conquer Europe for a second straight season.
Zadar had already made noise on the European stage itself, having taken third place in Europe in 1968 and having made the semifinals of the Korac Cup in 1982 and 1986.
Zadar became a fixture in the relaunched Croatian League in the 1990s, but could only outlast Cibona to two trophies, the 1998 and 2000 national cups.

ULEB CUP   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-09)
After a 2003-04 season that saw it reach the brink of several successes, KK Zadar has put together a young roster for a new campaign in which it has high hopes of going one step further wherever it plays.
Zadar’s 5-5 ULEB Cup record last season left it a few points short of the elimination rounds, marking a just-miss trend that included second-place finishes later in the Croatian League and Cup.
Zadar hopes that the loss of veteran Marcelic, a shooter now at Pau-Orthez, will be offset by the signing of Johnson, who arrives on the heels of a stellar career at University of Miami of Ohio and could become one of the more exciting players in the ULEB Cup this season.

Dejan Bodiroga - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
One growth spurt later he sprung up to 2.05m and was at 15 quickly incorporated into Proleter Zrenjanin's first team squad coached by Miodrag Sija Nikolic, former OKK Beograd and Yugoslav national team player in the 1960s.
Dejan's professional career began in earnest when at the tender age of 17 he was noticed by the former Yugoslav great Kresimir Cosic who persuaded Bodiroga's family to allow their son to move away to Zadar.
This was not the usual route for basketball talents in Serbia, most of whom at this stage of their development fancy a closer move to one of the big two clubs from the capital city - Partizan or Red Star.
