KKGO is very open to its listener and the mix they have is right with classic and new country.
As KKGO is a fairly new station and is still working through the glitches of becoming an FM station I believe that the format will in time be a consistant mix of current as well as classic country.
KKGO's format was designed by and for the loyal Country fans who fought a long, hard, passionate battle for the return of this much loved genre.

 KKGO-FM
When this switch happened on February 26, 2007 it brought the KKGO calls back to the FM dial and 105.1 adopted the new slogan "Go-Country 105".
KKGO airs a country music format with many of the air-personalities from the former KZLA, along with several programs from Westwood One, United Stations Radio Network and Dial Global's "Mainstream Country" 24-hour network.
The first pieces played when KKGO picked up the Classical format in 1989 were selections from Franz Lehár's operetta The Land of Smiles.
