Kuala Lumpur International Airport (abbreviated as KLIA) is Malaysia's main international airport and is situated in Sepang district, in the south of the state of Selangor, about 50 km outside the capital city, Kuala Lumpur.
KLIA was designed by Japanese architect, Kisho Kurokawa, and developed by KL International Airport Berhad.
Connections to Kuala Lumpur are possible on the KLIA Express train (RM35 one way), via taxis (approximately RM60) or buses.

With regards the Express to KL central, yes it is quick, but as I am normally travelling with my wife and 2 suitcases plus hand luggage, it is a lot easier and cheaper to use a cab direct to our KL city centre hotel.
KLIA is a very nice airport, bright, clean, spacious and it is very easy to find your way there.
KLIA seems to be a very modern, clean and efficient in my opinion, although I am not familiar with the departure hall.

However, I think that 160 km/hour is ok for the express train because of its short distance between Makkasan and the airport.
Both are externally identical but the interior is very different since Airport Express must have the luggage facility and soft leaning seats while the commter version will be hard seat as Skytrian-Subway and the standing to pack more pasengers.
They have learnt from KLIA Express to pick more commuter passengers than the airport passengers.

You'd be better off taking the Monorail >from Times Square (stop right outside) to KL Sentral and taking the KL Express >from there to KLIA.
Time should be within 30 minutes max unless the monorail is delayed.
KLIA express to the airport is 35 ringgit, runs on the dot.

My current preferred option is the "KLIA Express", although I felt that at MYR35 it is a rip-off for a low-cost country like Malaysia.
This was implemented to overcome the shortage of taxis at Sentral when the KLIA Express first started operations.
Priority seems to be given to enhance KLIA at the expense of the passengers.

Well, according to the KLIA website, the fare from KLIA would cost you (subject to change) RM 66.80 for a budget taxi and RM 91.80 for a premier taxi.
The KLIA Express has a ticket vending machine there too.
On arrival at KLIA we were picked up by the hotels limo, which was a good service, but having been back to KL a few times since and catching the express, I find that the express is much better, it seems quicker and less hassle.

To prevent that from happening, we should award MSC status to members of the Cyberjaya Golf and Country Club (so far a figment of my imagination) to encourage wealthy foreign tourists and retirees to fly in and play golf in Cyberjaya.
Well, if one adds up the RM35 cost of a one-way ticket from KLIA to KL Sentral on the KLIA Express with the RM11 cost of the from KL Sentral to Petaling Jaya, I might as well take the airport taxi especially if I have heavy luggage.
All KLIA needs to do, is to get rid of the touts, get rid of the limo service and let metered city taxis line up to pick up passengers.

Walk to the right out of the arrival doors and find the Taxi desk - a "budget" return service is about 130 RM and is in a 4 cylinder Japanese car.
I’ve found that it takes about the same time as the Express Train - when you take into account having to wait for the next train and then transferring (carrying bags to find a taxi) once you arrive in KL Central.
