		On the KOFM, the darkslide interlocks with the film back and the lens board to prevent the removal of either without having the darkslide in place.

		I only listen to KOFM in Newcastle, it is pretty obvious that the same mob own 2GO on the central coast as the formats are pretty much identical.
		Music formats seem to be a matter of taste, and yes, I think KOFM has the most pleasing sound of the 3 local FMers also.
		With Channel 9A, there could be an issue with some older TV sets that may not be capable of receiving this, and the requirement for local viewers to install a Band III VHF antenna to get a good picture (and it may also currently be in use for digital radio trials in Sydney?).

		I switched to KOFM from another station a few months ago - one of the reasons for the switch was their constant and obnoxious promotion of their competitions, which almost always involve money as the prize.
		Even if we overlook the shameless promoting the greed for money which is rather distasteful in itself, my complaint is in the WAY it is promoted.

		it dosen't happen on my local channels such as KOFM and NXFM and all of the other ones.
		I will have to email KOFM or some other Newcastle radio station and ask them when RDS will be available or if anyone know's when, the help would be appreciated.
		As the take up in Australia is quite low, there will be stations where you will get the response that you did get from KOFM.

		C.R. Brown ran Sonax, and KOFM at the time was still an 'old folks' station to me...programming like weekday morning's "Weather Around the World" with Gene Dillehey (more famous for KETA-13 voice overs and I'm sure I've butchered his last name).
		L.D. was a stickler about quality, so KOFM had the best of everything- Collins transmitter, Gates board, and some fine McIntosh preamps and Shure SME tone arms--with Shure V15 type IIi carts as I recall-- in the control room.
		By then the transmitter was gone, the studios remodeled, the programming was on CDs, and no trace of the old KOFM anywhere...except the old red office Selectric typewriter and a genuine KOFM STEREO 104 sticker on the copy board.
