	The Russian Battlefield - KV-1: development history
		On September 5, 1939 the KV was sent to Moscow where it was shown (on September 25) to the Soviet Government.
		The KV, SMK and the T-100 tanks served in 91st Tank Battalion, 20th Heavy Tank Brigade where the KV tank was the best.
		However, most KV's weren't destroyed by enemy, they were lost because of technical failures and abandoned by their crews because of a lack of repair time.

		The Kliment Voroshilov (KV) tanks were a series of Soviet heavy tanks, named after the Soviet defense commissar and politician Kliment Voroshilov.

		A regiment of KVs saw service in Manchuria in August 1945, and a few KV-85s were used in the Crimea in the summer of 1944.

		Out of these design problems, the KV was also much expensive to manufature because of the thick armored plates and their machining (such as creating holes for torsion bars in 75 mm thick plates): to cut costs and times down the use of bolts was severly reduced, replaced by extensive welding of the plates.

		In addition, we have shown that there is a second depolarization which accompanies the rise in intracellular calcium after activation when Kv 1.3 and the calcium activated potassium channel, KCa, are both blocked.
		Thus, there is a difference in the membrane potential kinetics between blockers of Kv 1.3 alone and those that block both Kv 1.3 and KCa.
