Topic: Ka Tzetnik 135633

  Shivitti: A Vision
Imprisoned in Auschwitz for two years, having eluded death by the narrowest of margins, the man known as Ka-Tzetnik 135633 survived the Holocaust to discover that survival alone would not end his torment.
The book was written by those who had become fire in the ovens of the crematorium.
He chose, for author, the name shared by all the captives: Ka-Tzetnik 135633, "Concentration Camp Inmate," and the number the Nazis tattooed on his arm.

Ka-Tzetnik 135633, House of Dolls (Simon and Schuster, 1955)
Ka-Tzetnik 135633, Nazi-assigned pen name of an Auschwitz survivor (oddly, there seems to be some controversy as to who Ka-Tzetnik 135633 was; some say it was Yehiel De-Nir, others Karol Cetynski), here gives an account of life in a Nazi prison camp, but in the most roundabout of ways.
There is little plot to the latter half of the novel; instead, Ka-Tzetnik 135633 infuses the whole mess with a painful sense of irony.
