Kadammanitta Ramakrishnan was born on 22nd March, 1935, at Kadammanitta near Pathanamthitta.His father was the well-known Padayani Acharya, Raman Nair Asan.
Kadammanitta was highly influenced by the Padayani Songs and especially the rhythm of those songs, during his early years.
Kadammanitta got established as a poet in the hearts of the masses mainly due to the recitals of his poems.

Kadammanitta Ramakrishnan, said the proposed view tower designed by the Aranmula Vasthu Vidya Gurukulam would facilitate hindrance-free viewing of the famous Uthrittathi snakeboat pageantry and the race in the waters of the Pampa during the Onam season.
Kadammanitta said the three-storey tower will have a projection into the river which can bring the viewers' in its balconies to a levitating experience.
Kadammanitta Ramakrishnan said the foundation stone of the tower would be laid during the ensuing Onam season and the project will be completed by next Onam.

Noted Malayalam poet Kadammanitta Ramakrishnan has been chosen for Kerala's prestigious Basheer Prize, instituted by the Doha-based Pravasi arts and cultural organisation.
The award, carrying a cash prize of Rs 35,000 besides a citation and a plaque, was instituted in memory of one of Malayalam's all-time favourite writers, the late Vaikom Muhammed Basheer.
