Agama Kaharingan masuk dalam agama Hindu sebagai upaya mendapatkan legalitas dari pemerintah karena banyak yang beranggapan salah dengan menyebut Kaharingan sebagai aliran animisme atau dinamisme.
Kaharingan merupakan potensi besar dalam pilkada karena tak satu pun dari kami yang mencalonkan diri sehingga suara kami benar-benar bulat.

Pada bagian disimpulkan bahwa agama Kaharingan sulit dikatakan sebgai agama lokal karena ada pendukungnya di luar Kalimantan Tengah, namun persebarannya terbatas karena menggunakan bahasa Ngaju.Kemudian dipaparkan tentang budaya rumah Betang, yang toleran dalam hal agama.

SULIT bagi pemeluk Kaharingan untuk bisa mengusahakan agar kepercayaannya bisa menjadi salah satu agama yang diakui di Indonesia.
Hingga saat ini, penganut Kaharingan barafiliasi dengan agama Hindu yang memang sebagai salah satu agama yang diakui oleh Pemerintah RI, sehingga ada istilah Hindu Kaharingan.
