	Kaiketsu Zubat - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Kaiketsu Zubatto (å¿«å‘ãºããã), also known as Swift Hero Zubat or Vigilante Zubat, is a tokusatsu superhero series from 1977.
		Zubat's arsenal is a flying car called the "Zubacar" (with a huge propeller fan at the back) and his weapon is a whip (with a "Z" fitted at the handle).
		Zubat's name is based on the sound effect "zubatt", which is the sound of something being hit right on target.

		The name Zubat comes from the word "zubatto" which is the sound of a whip snapping.
		Kaiketsu Zubat's weapon is whip which can be colapsed into its handle and used as a dagger.
		After defeating the Boss of the week Zubat asks if he was the one who killed Asuka, Goro (of course he doesn't find the killer until the last episode), then he would usually disappear before the police arrive.

		That same year, Kazumasa Hirai and Jiro Kuwata created Japan's first cyborg superhero, 8 Man (which predated Kamen Rider by eight years).
		Ishinomori then created many similar superhero dramas, including Android Kikaider (considered the best of the bunch by fans), Henshin Ninja Arashi, Inazuman, Robot Detective, Secret Task Force Goranger (the first Sentai Series), Kaiketsu Zubat, and countless others.

		I also love the Metalder soundtrack -- anyone who doesn't like the OP ain't no friend of mine, but the BGM really lends another layer to the show, with its classic Japanese, often times military sound.
		While the show only has three songs (the OP is classic, in my book), I love the BGM so much that I can't believe I still haven't bought the soundtrack.
		Too bad Kensuke Kyou couldn't have done as good of a job with Dynaman's BGM as he did for Zubat (Dynaman's BGM is putrid).

		I got Zubat in trade from my friend Pomai in Honolulu.
		Kaiketsu Zubat was played by Miyauchi Hiroshi who was Kazami Shiro in Kamen Rider V3 and Shinmei Akira, the Aorenger (Blue Ranger) in Himitsu Sentai Gorenjaa (Secret Task Force Five Ranger).
		Kaiketsu Zubat is part of an 8 figure set which includes Bijinda, Hakaida, Kikaida, Space Sheriff Gavan, Ultraman, Ultraseven, and Ultraman Jack.
