		In January 1983 their debut single, 'Too Shy' was released hitting number one in the U.K. (and seven other European countries) and peaked in the USA at number five.
		Kajagoogoo continued with Nick Beggs as the lead vocalist.
		The editing of the Bands Reunited show, gave the false impression that Limahl had been dismissed from the band solely on the basis of his pop appeal, and gave no attention to the deeper internal differences.

		Kajagoogoo's light synth pop and pretty, photogenic look made the group an instant sensation in the early days of MTV.
		Like a bubblegum group, they were destined to have only one big hit; "Ooh to Be Ah" and "Hang on Now" both were Top 15 U.K. hits, yet neither made an impact in the U.S. At the end of the 1983, Limahl left for a solo career.
		Kajagoogoo continued with Nick Beggs as the lead vocalist, releasing Islands in 1984; it disappeared from the charts quickly.

		Yesterday Marc and I had the pleasure of attending the Kajagoogoo reunion recording for VH-1.
		I have to admit to having had strong reservations about this gig beforehand, part of me felt that I should be leaving Kajagoogoo firmly in the 80’s where they belonged but the curious, maybe even nosy part of me decided that I had to be there.
		Limahl then told us that his father had recently passed away and that the timing of VH-1’s request to reunite the band had co-incided with his return from being with his family after his father’s death so I think we should be grateful that he agreed.

		Along with tracks performed by Limahl, the CD includes one of my favorite solo performances of Limahl singing the title song from the fantasy movie, "NeverEnding Story." Kajagoogoo continued to evolve and put out some terrific music when the reigns of lead vocalist were passed over to Nick Beggs after Limahal left the group.
		Although their career was short, Kajagoogoo certainly put out some excellent music and secured a place in my time capsule of classic 80's music.

		I decided to watch the some of the Kajagoogoo episode with a few triva facts- Their biggest American hit was "Too Shy"
		The lead singer was Limahl, who had a solo hit with the theme from the Neverending Story movie later on.
		I have a couple of Kajagoogoo posters and his hairstyle stood out- puffed out on top, braids on the bottom and completely original.
