The Hawaii Community Development Authority a state agency is coordinating the urban renewal of Kaka'ako, which was a light industrial area in a prime area of central Honolulu.
Kaka'ako's residents will be able to live in a safe and attractive environment, one with first class facilities for shopping, entertainment, education, culture, and social activities.
