		Kakashi Gaiden is a six-part spinoff manga based on the popular manga Naruto, by Masashi Kishimoto.
		The story surrounds a 13 year-old Kakashi Hatake, who embarks on a mission with his team, which includes another boy named Obito Uchiha, from the same clan as Sasuke Uchiha, a medic kunoichi named Rin, and their teacher, the future Fourth Hokage (from here on referred to as the Fourth for simplicity).
		Kakashi jumps in front of Obito to save him from the enemy's kunai and thus Kakashi's left eye is slashed to form the scar that Kakashi still has today, blinding him in the left side.

		Kakashi's mind games with his students, the genuinely clever ways the author has him being kind of a bastard teacher to them (instead of falling flat or dull, they actually work, they feel like they do justice to the series itself).

		Gaiden means Extra or Another story or side story if a manga or anime is concerned.

		Hard to believe Kakashi was such a jerk as a kid, and that he became a Jounin at such a young age.
		But it's funny that all the things Kakashi taught Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke during their training mission at the beginning of the series turned out to be things Kakashi learned from Obito way back then.
		A bit convenient that Kakashi isn't there with them, and Naruto is injured, but then again I didn't expect that they would be able to bring Sasuke back with them during their first encounter.

		Episode 179 was figured to be the start of the Kakashi Gaiden, but the title for 178 certainly does not sound like a title pointing to the end of the first part of the series.
		Hopefully that means 179 will incorporate the last few bits that were in the last normal manga chapter, before Kakashi Gaiden officially begins.
		Kakashi is a jounin when it first starts off, and I assume (though I could be wrong) that Obito and Rin are both chuunin and they are still a group under the 4th hokage to be (he isn’t actually hokage yet)

		Is he going to take Obito's word to heart and join him in saving his teammate, or is he going to keep the memory of the circumstances that lead to his father's suicide in mind, and forge ahead and accomplish the mission...good stuff.
		All we know for sure is that this gaiden will show us how he got the Sharingan(and thus, Obito's death as well).

		I mean if they don’t start the story of the Kakashi Gaiden or the beginng of Naruto’s return, that’ll be wasting the comics, because Naruto’s return/Gaara’s kidnapping used up about 5 comics.
		But I have a feeling the Kakashi Gaiden will be animated because it would leave alot of things unfinished in the story.
