Topic: Kaleem Omar

 [No title]
With the internet, there are so many sources of information that it’s quite likely for many people to remain unaware of each others’ personal favourites, even if those people share common interests.
Kaleem Omar, a prominent Pakistani journalist, has switched the majority of his news gathering to the internet, arguing that “TV and print just can’t compare”.
As for what particular news websites he uses, Omar claims that it doesn’t matter — there are thousands of websites available on the internet, and it’s entirely appropriate to use whichever one is relevant to the issue at hand.

Sherpao also told the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) on Monday that Taliban's elusive chief Mullah Mohammad Omar and Osama's deputy al-Zawahir may also be in southeastern Afghanistan.
Even the Afghan president once claimed that Taliban's elusive chief Mullah Mohammad Omar had been seen in Balouchistan's provincial capital Quetta, a claim rejected by Pakistan as groundless.
The veteran US diplomat who served as President Bush's special envoy to the post-Taliban nation did not rule out either the presence of Taliban and al-Qaida's chiefs in Pakistan by saying both Mullah Omar and Bin Laden are presumably in Pakistan.

My cousin Hamid Omar, the guiding light behind our off-road trips, and an expert on all things mechanical, drove a Jeep Cherookee on this latest trip of ours.
Hamid’s elder son, Khalid Omar, a quiet, studious sort, who is into computer programming and Russian literature, drove an M-38 Willys Jeep.
Hamid bought this 1940s model Jeep some twenty years ago, fitted it with a diesel engine, a new gearbox, air-conditioning and a remote-operated winch, painted it white and made a lot of other modifications to it.

 Whatever Happened to April Glaspie?
Kaleem Omar, Jang, Pakistan - It is now more than fifteen years since that fateful meeting on July 25, 1990 between then-US Ambassador to Iraq April Glaspie and President Saddam Hussein that the Iraqi leader interpreted as a green light from Washington for his invasion of Kuwait eight days later.
The US State Department, which is said to have placed a gag order on Glaspie in August 1990 prohibiting her from talking to the media about what had transpired at that meeting, is apparently still keeping her under wraps despite the fact that she retired from the American Foreign Service in 2002.
It's almost as if she has become a non-person.
