The Hindu : Low level of Godavari causes concern
As the stage is set for the commencement of the 12-day Godavari Pushkaram beginning from Wednesday in this temple town and other temple towns such as Kaleshwaram, Manthani and Koti Lingala, the low level of the river water in this temple town has become a cause of concern for the authorities.
During a visit on Tuesday at the Dharmapuri ghats, it was found that the water level was at a low level and not even touching the bathing ghats where the officials had made arrangements.
On the other hand, the water level at the Kaleshwaram temple was flowing at a high speed inundating the bathing ghats due to merger of three rivers Godavari, Pranahita and Saraswathi at the temple.
