This is opposed to the Kimberlite pipes (or volcanic pipes) in which diamonds are found in Majgawan in MP or the sedimentary rocks of the Vindhya group.
Sources within the directorate said that further proving would have to be done to find out the level of extention in which the diamonds can be found in the Kalinjar and adjoining areas.
